As an important member of a broader Family and Childcare Social Work team, a Social Work Assistant / Contact Worker provides supervised contact services for children and families known to Children’s Services.
We are recruiting for 2 roles based in West Belfast. These roles are long term, ongoing temporary assignment…Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Your role will involve:
- Transporting children and young people to visits with parents and to supervise when required.
- Supporting birth and foster parents to engage in appropriate contact and family support activities.
- Providing a wide range of support services to families and children
You will have:
- Current NI Social Care Council (NISCC) registration
- Recent relevant experience of working with children, young people and/or families
- NVQ Health and Social Care or relevant equivalent qualifications
- Full driving licence and access to a car for business purposes
This role is subject to a clear ACCESSNI Enhanced Vetting Check to ensure the applicant can work in REGULATED ACTIVITY. A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to an applicant obtaining a position.
